Running FSPC under Windows95

Installing & Operating FSPC for MS-DOS under Windows/95

This procedure can also be used under Windows/98

Double-Click on the "My Computer" Icon in the Main, Windows/95 screen.
Double-Click on the drive letter Icon where FSPC2 in installed (Typically, '[C:]'
Double-Click on the FSPC2 Folder Icon Single-Click on the FSPC application icon - highlighting it.
Single-Click on the word 'File" in the pull down menu at the top of the FSPC2 Folder Window.
Single-Click on Properties under the File pull down. Single-Click on the Program Tab at the top of the FSPC Properties Window.
Single-Click on the "Advanced" Box at the bottom of the program window.
Single-Click on MS-DOS Mode in the Advanced Program Settings Window Single-Click on "Specify a new MS-DOS Configuration". In the Window under the phrase "CONFIG.SYS for MS-DOS mode:", enter the following:

FILES=100
BUFFERS=45
In the Window under the phrase "AUTOEXEC.BAT for MS-DOS mode:", enter the following:

C:\FSPC2\MOUSE.COM

(This assumes that a DOS Mouse Driver is installed in your FSPC2 directory and that directory is on your C:\> drive (if necessary, indicate the drive letter and sub-directory where the DOS Mouse Driver is located) If you do not have a DOS mouse driver available, Click here to go to FSPC File Library . Copy the mouse.zip file to your FSPC directory. Using the PKUNZIP utility in your FPSC directory, unzip mouse.zip. This will create mouse.com within your FSPC directory.
Single-Click on 'OK' to close the Advance Program Settings window. Single-Click on 'OK' to close the FSPC Properties Window.

Starting FSPC under Windows/95

Double-Click on the FSPC application Icon in the FSPC2 Folder. Windows/95 will shut down and restart in MS-DOS mode. FSPC should initialize. Upon exiting FSPC, through the Quit option, DOS will terminate and you will be returned to Windows/95. You may also add an FSPC program icon to your program list or desktop. Refer to your Windows/95 documentation for instructions.
