UPDATING BILLING STATUS
In order to print out all of the notices that the program can produce, you need to change the billing status of the members. This can be done two ways: globally and individually.
Globally Change Billing Status
To change the Billing Status globally click on the Procedures menu and select Update Billing Status.

To change the Billing Status from 1st Notice to 2nd Notice (this will get you ready to print the 2nd Notice), select 1st Notice to 2nd Notice from the choices. The As of Date: must be in accordance to the Financial Secretaries Handbook*. For the 2nd Notice, 30 days must pass from the time of billing.
The Apply Open Credits button will apply any payments to any open (non-batched) charges.
Click OK to change the Billing Status. This will change the unpaid members’ Status to 2ND NOTICE and change the unpaid charge Status to ARREARS.

To print your Second Notice after changing the Billing Status, click on the Output menu and select Reports, Labels, Letters. Select Notices from the selections on the left and click on Second Notice.
To print a Knight Alert, you must set the members' Status (in the ledger) to Knight Alert. Similarly, to print out Notices of Intent to Suspend, you must set the members' Status to Status Change. If the member does not have the appropriate Status set, then the notice will not print out for them.
Individually Change the Billing Status
Go the member’s ledger and change the Status to the desired status by clicking on the drop-down arrow to the right of Status. The date does not have to follow the required time limit that is set by the Financial Secretary. If you need to print a Knight Alert for a member, but the required time has not passed, you can change his status individually and print the correct notice for that member. (Print the notice as described above.)
