PRINTING MEMBERSHIP CARDS

The FSPC program allows you to print membership cards for your members. The recommended way to print cards, is to print all of them at once. Keep the cards unsigned until the members are paid for the year. This allows you to give the card as a receipt when payment is received. To print your cards go to the Output menu and select Reports, Labels, Letters. Click on Membership on the left and select the type of card that you are using (sheet or tractor).

Now click on the Query button in the left-center of the window. This will open the Query Builder window. Select the query Associate & Insurance, and then close the Query Builder window. This will print membership cards for all of your council’s active members. Load your card stock (form 2724 - sheet fed, or form 2725 – tractor fed), click on Printer, and click Run. When the program is finished sending the information, you will be asked if the membership cards printed correctly.

If everything printed correctly, click on Yes. If not, click on No, make adjustments and print membership cards again.

On the membership cards, FSPC prints then member's name, member number, degree number, council name, council city, council state, and the date dues have been paid through.  The member information is drawn from the member's record.  The council information is drawn from the Council Setup window, found under the Setup menu.  The Dues Paid To date is drawn from each member's ledger screen.  If the member has been charged for the year's annual dues, and a payment has been applied to this charge, then this date will automatically be generated.  If no date appears on the card, you can go to the member's ledger screen and type in the appropriate Dues Paid Through date.

**TIP** You may not want to print all the cards in one attempt. To print cards out in groups, select Print and click on Run to send the cards to the printer. The Print window will now appear. Here, in the print range area, you can choose to print from pages 1 to 10, or any other numbers you enter. To print the next group of cards, click Run again (be sure the Associate & Insurance query is selected if you originally used that query) and enter the print range as 11- 20. Also, if you do not want to print cards for Honorary Life members, you should choose the query Billable Members.

Membership Cards sheets are available to order from the Supply Department (view sample).  FSPC will print all the necessary data onto the cards, including the degree number.  However '4th' degree will not be printed onto the cards since these membership cards are for members of councils.  Anyone with a 4th degree status will automatically have a card with 3rd degree generated for them.  There are 3rd degree stickers available from the Supply Department that can be affixed to the cards, showing '3rd' in red and in a larger size.  Note that FSPC is not able to print the financial secretary's information on the back of the cards.
