FSPC program and do not want to convert your DOS information, you will be Installing and Importing

Installing______________________________
Place the FSPC CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. Your computer should detect
the CD and the installation process will begin after a few moments. If your
computer does not automatically detect the CD and begin the installation
process, then 1) Double click on My Computer, 2) Double click on the CD-ROM
drive, 3) Double click on Setup. The InstallShield Wizard will install the
program while asking you a series of questions.
Importing Council Data__________________________
Downloading data from the disk means Importing it. Follow the steps
below:
Double Click on the FSPC 3 icon to start the program.
-OR-
Click on the Start Button on the Task Bar; click on Programs; click on
FSPC 3 to start the program.
Once you start FSPC for Windows, you will get the message "Rebuild
Index Complete". Click OK.
The next message you will get is "No Records Found In Associate &
Insurance". Click OK.
FSPC for Windows will automatically start the 2.x DOS Conversion
program and will bring up the FSPC 2.x DOS Conversion Window. Since this
is a new installation and you are not converting from an older version of
FSPC, click Cancel.

Click on File.
Click on Import/Convert and select Supreme Data Import.
This will bring up the Open window.

Click on u , located at the right of the
Look in: box, on the top of the window. With your Supreme Council
Download disk in the floppy drive, select 3 ½ Floppy (A:).
Select the fspc.txt file to import. The icon looks like a
little notepad.
Click on the Import button.
The program will tell you when the import is complete. Click on OK.
Setting up your FSPC program_____________________________
After having installed the FSPC program and imported the council
data, we recommend that you do the following:
- Because of the placement of certain windows in the program, we suggest
always maximizing the program window. This will keep any windows from
being hidden. To do this, start the program and click on the
1 in the upper right corner of the screen. To
set this automatically, consult your Windows manual.
- Run a Data Change Report. -Click on Output; then
Reports, Labels, Letters; then select Supreme; then choose the
Data Change Report. Select output to the screen and click on Run.
You will get a preview window that will be empty and it will clear
automatically. You will then be asked if you would like to update the Data
Change Information. Click on Yes. Click on the
r in the upper right corner to close the
window.
- Set up billing by clicking on Setup then Billing
- Set the classes for your council and enter the amount each class is
charged for dues
- To add a new class click on the Add button
- To change the information for an existing class, click on the Class
button and select the class from that list.
- Click on the Update button to complete the changes you have
made.
- Choose the Billing Cycle that your council follows -
Calendar (January – December) or Fraternal (June – July)
- Click on the r in the upper right of the
Billing Setup to close the window
- Set up your council information by clicking on Setup then
Council
- Enter the name of your council, its number, and the address for the
council.
- The other information will be populated when you enter the Grand
Knight’s and Financial Secretary’s information in the next step.
- Click on the r in the upper right of the
Council Setup window to close the window
- Enter the council’s officers by clicking on the Setup menu then
Officers
- Enter the Council Year in the top box
- Click on the buttons for all of the officers. This will bring up a
list for you to chose from. Once these fields are populated, the Grand
Knight’s and Financial Secretary’s information, as well as the Current
Office on the Fraternal Screen for each of the officers will be populated.
- Click on the r in the upper right of the
Setup Officers window to close the window.
- Next enter the needed information on each of the member’s information
screens by clicking on the Edit menu and choosing Members.

Always take a back up. When working with FSPC, each change you make
is immediately saved. Therefore, if you make a mistake, the mistake is
saved. The only way to undo the mistake is by restoring a backup that you
made earlier. (See
