MODIFY REPORT
We have included a new feature in FS=
PC 3.52
designed to address issues some users are having with the alignment of prin=
ted
output on forms. These problems are usually due to differences in printers =
or variations
in the form itself. Typically with this problem print output (for membership
cards for example) will not precisely align with the form. Letters/numbers =
can
print high or low or too far to the left or right. The new MODIFY REPORT
feature allows you to actually change the physical alignment of print outpu=
t on
the form by changing print field positions.
&=
nbsp; To
use this feature go to Output and select a report On all Report/Notice screens you w=
ill
see three buttons in the lower right of the Reports, Labels & Letters
window as shown below.
=
&nb=
sp; =
&nb=
sp;
If you are having NO issues with print alignment click on Run Report=
as
you have in the past. It is best not to attempt to adjust print alignment if
you are not having significant problems.&n=
bsp;
If are having alignment problems click on Modify Report. You will th=
en be
presented with the print alignment screen.=
You can then modify where all or some of the fields align (print) on=
the
form. To start you must selec=
t the
field or fields you wish to move and then drag them from their current posi=
tion
to the new desired position. =
You
can select a specific field by then down the left mouse key. You then can move your mouse and
reposition the field to another place on the form even fractions of an inch=
up,
down, left or right.
&=
nbsp; To
select the entire form position your mouse in the upper left hand corner of=
the
form. Using your mouse drag t=
he
arrow down to the lower right hand corner of the form to "lasso" =
all
the data fields. This will se=
lect
all. You can then move the pr=
int
for the entire form up and down or left and right to meet your needs. You would use the same method to l=
asso a
group of fields on a form as shown below.&=
nbsp;
=
____________
Precise re-alignment of print fields=
on
forms may require several attempts in a trial and error method. Whenever you
are ready to test or save your new alignment close the alignment screen.
=

Once saved you should test your
changes. Hint: You can use a blank sheet of white=
paper
for printing and then hold it and the form up to a light or window to check
alignment rather than using real forms during the trial and error process. =
When you save the new print alignmen=
t that
new alignment becomes the alignment pattern that the report uses from that
point on. Any new chang=
es you
make and save will change the previously saved alignment. However, if you r=
un
into a problem with a new alignment you can restore the form’s origin=
al
base system alignment by clicking on the Restore Report button. Note: Any alignment changes you made in =
the
past would be lost when you Restore Reports.
DATA CHANGE REPORT
&nbs=
p; In
order to correct a variety of problems with the data change report there is=
a
new method of creating the report in Version 3.52. Do the following to create a=
Data
Change Report.
Click on:
Output, Reports, Labels-Letters, Supreme, Data Change R=
eport
, Run Report
=
Under
FSPC 3.52 you will be presented with a pop-up that displays the current
date. You can change this dat=
e to
reflect the start date for data to be included in the Data Change Report. That is, the report will print all
changes made from the date you enter to the current date.
=

&nbs=
p; In
this example all changes made from
=
You
will no longer be asked if the Data Change Report printed correctly followi=
ng
execution and you will be able to reprint a Data Change Report as you wish
reflecting reportable changes you made to your member’s records based=
on
the date parameter you enter. The
format of the printed report as not changed.
An FSPC Handy Hint:
=
Perhaps
the most important thing to remember before using FSPC is: back up your data
every time you sit down to use the system. If you encounter a problem or make a
mistake while using FSPC it is a relatively easy process to restore your sy=
stem
to the point it was at prior to the backup. Without a backup it is difficult a=
nd in
many cases impossible to correct or undo some mistakes and errors.
=
Backup
your FSPC system by clicking on File, Backup and then selecting a location =
for
your backup file. Restoring a
backup is easy too. Just clic=
k on
File, Restore and then select the FSPC backup file you wish to restore. &n=
